Crimson Chains Review

This one was a pretty wild ride, and I mean that in both a good and bad way.

It’s a fast-paced horror mystery novel with a strong undertone of paranormal. I liked the premise of the story. Not all the interactions between Rayna and the rest of the characters felt genuine, and most of the time it felt staged or surface level.

The trigger warnings do not lie, and I was impressed with the attention to detail and descriptiveness.

However, the story felt extremely disjointed and exceedingly difficult to follow. The twists that happened felt out of place and confusing. I am all for out-of pocket situations but the delivery unfortunately shattered the suspension of disbelief. I was left with 100 more questions and no answer at the end.
