Shadows and Saviors Review

Okay so here we go exploring dystopian RH. This subgenre is one that I don’t have much experience with regarding the RH trope. After reading this I actually like these paired together.

The fertility plotline is one that I don’t think I’ve ever even read, nor did I think I would ever. I thought it was done well without overdoing it, which is a very fine line. Honestly in the setting it’s something pretty realistic that I never even considered. Speaking of realism in this story, it was an overall meh for me. A lot of the military stuff felt over-exaggerated and not realistic in my opinion, which ultimately broke the story for me. The plot did feel easily guessable which again felt like a pretty big downfall.

The spice was just not it for me. There was a slow burn which I liked, but the actual spice felt lacking and very unintimate. It was a shame considering the burn it took to get to the point.

Emma’s storyline was heartwarming, and I liked her immediately. There was good character development for Emma as well as the team itself. I would have liked to had more interactions with them.
