Death Angel Review

An angel walks into a bar.. No I’m not kidding, that’s truly how the story starts.

This was a unique read. It’s clear from the beginning that good and evil is not as easy to define as you’d expect and I appreciated that the theme stayed consistent and clear throughout the story through multiple scenarios. This really was only thing that stayed clear. The plot starts off simple but after too many twists I found it became extremely convoluted and hard to follow.

The writing was less than enjoyable for me for a few reasons. It was choppy to start off which created a less than desirable read. Everything felt robotic, including the spice (which is a huge pet peeve of mine). As a whole the spice is 100% skip worthy, and super impersonal. and There was no great emotion, good or bad. It was exceedingly hard to root for the characters or even feel any type of attachment to them when they felt surface level from start to finish.
