Review

I have had the pleasure of reading Eva Chase before and let me tell you she never misses on a why choose fantasy novel, including this one!

This is the perfect mix of Hunger Games, fantasy royalty, and why choose romance. The drama is top tier and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire read. The fantasy and magic aspect was done well in my opinion, though I was looking for more world building especially regarding the different gods of this world. I’m hopeful that book 2 will give us a better insight on the kingdom and the magic system.

The enemies to lovers trope is very strong which only means better and hotter spice scenes. 👀 At first I hated the men but they’ve grown on me and I’m so excited to see how they adapt in the next book. They’re all unique in their own right, both in powers and personalities which is so refreshing. Our FMC is a total badass and I felt for her during the entire trial. She’s truly a gem and I will keep on rooting for her in book 2!
