I have loved reading as far back as I can remember (as I’m sure a lot of people would say). Once I got to college my casusal reading sadly declined, and it wasn’t until 2023 that I picked it back up again. As of January of 2024 I began ARC reading and have started to pursue a more active reading style.
I do my ARC reading through NetGalley and a few different Facebook groups. Typically I receive my books from BookFunnel, Book Sirens, or via email. I have an ARC reading list based on publication date, but life happens so I’m often not on time. I’ll of course try to post as often as I can, blogging more-so than posting on Instagram but again.. Life (plus I’m a bit of a mood reader if I’m honest). Onto my review tier:
- 5 stars means I would read it again no doubt. I loved the story, characters, and plot. Very little adjustment is needed in my mind.
- 4 stars means I probably wouldn’t read it again. I throughly enjoyed most if not all aspects. I noticed some errors, either plotline, grammer, or just weird writing. None of which took away from the story itself in a determental way and I was able to move past it
- 3 stars means I struggled to enjoy this. I noticed major errors regarding the plot, characters, and writing. I noticed a good portion of errors with gramming and wording, and it began to affect my reading significantly.
- 2 stars means this was a hard read to finish. There are very significant errors with the plot, characters, and espcially the writing. I am seeing grammerical errors along with weird wording and phrasing. All of which is taking away from the story, either by me having to clarify constantently or there are holes in the plot itself. There is no chance that I will be picking this back up again.
- 1 star means there was very little that kept me from DNF’ing. To be honest, this rating means it was a waste of my time.
